An Exciting and unique opportunity for a Procurement Manager to join a company revolutionising agriculture as we know it
- Significant need for International travel
- CapEx (The purchase of long-term physical or fixed assets used in a business’s operations)
- The successful candidate will play a pivotal role aligning the company’s existing focus on global sourcing, technology development, operational consistency, efficiency and overhead reduction.
KEY SKILLS:
- Identify robust, agile, and cost-effective supply channels
- Introduce purchasing best in class disciplines including for example, RFI/RFQ, PO process, market tracking, ongoing cost reduction/value analysis, in order to identify preferred supplier partners.
- Develop long term relationships with key strategic partners
- Identify leveraged acquisition costs to achieve best value life cycle costs
- Utilise local geographical supplies where practical
- Provide forecast demand plans in line with Sales projections and development
- Negotiation of demanding and leveraged lead times
- Reviewing all areas of spend to achieve objectives in best-value and best-service
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- A proven track record (5+ years) in procurement with experience as a Senior Buyer/Purchasing Manager, ideally within a complex, multi sector or multi-product environment.
- Engineering background desirable
- Experience with disparate business purchasing (multiple locations / business units)
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end procurement lifecycle, with exceptionally strong stakeholder management, strategic sourcing, and project management skills.
- Commercial / contract negotiation (or re-negotiation) and tender processes.
- Managing contracts through Service Delivery expectations.
- Highly skilled in budgeting, negotiation, project management and administration
- Commercially driven with ambition to drive growth and profitability
- An SME specialist with experience and love of start-up businesses
