KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Proven experience designing complex irrigation systems
- Proficiency in 3D visualisation tools such as AutoCAD & Inventor
- Understanding of hydroponic systems
- NOTE: This is a design role, therefore expertise in this and being able to oversee implementation is required. Hands on ‘on the tools’ ability is not required (although being knowledgeable of this, perhaps from prior roles, would be advantageous)
- Experience in Vertical Farming or Agricultural systems is a ‘nice to have’… but, equally, candidates from other industrial water-use environments are encouraged to apply!

In the process, with major financial backing, of developing Vertical Farms that can be deployed into any location at rapid speed, they are now seeking a specialist in the design or irrigation systems.
The successful candidate will already need to be a proven specialist in this area, and be happy in a predominantly desk based design role, which can be executed mostly remotely. There will be an occasional need to travel to site, and a background in hands on implementation would be advantageous to ensure that you can oversee the work of other engineers who are carrying this out.
Exposure to industrial water-use environments will be required; bonus points if this is in Vertical Farming or closely related… however, candidates who’ve worked in other water-intensive areas such as water treatment, de-salination plants, navy, etc, and have the relevant skillset are equally encouraged to get in touch!
