Senior Sales Manager

AgriTech sector - tech solutions for farmers in the developing world.

 

KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Demonstrable Sales and Business Development experience (ideally of a 'senior' level, or ready to take that step up)
  • Knowledge of, and a background in, the Agriculture sector - in particular the Arable and Agronomic domain.
  • AgriTech exposure and selling tech solutions (ideally software, such as Farm Management Systems) into the Agri sector, including to farmers.
  • Able and happy to engage with partners and possible customers remotely, often across different countries, time zones and cultures.

 

ROLE AND COMPANY

This company are looking to power the AgriTech revolution in developing areas of the world, and bring equality and technology to small hold farmers who may otherwise struggle to access such resources. This will bring numerous benefits such as helping them to gain access to finance, increase productivity and more much.

A powerful software tool that is free to use for farmers has been developed, and the priority is now to engage with as many possible customers as possible all over the world who could benefit from this. Clients may include farmers, as well as other businesses and financial bodies providing services to the farming community.

Therefore an experienced Sales Manager is now required with an understanding of the Agriculture domain, specifically Arable and Agronomic, who can engage with such customers and work in a globally oriented role. You will need to be capable of operating in a Senior/Lead role, entailing setting sales strategies and spearheading go-to market efforts - therefore, we are open to speaking to candidates who are already at this level, as well as Sales people with a strong level of experience for whom this may be the next natural step up.

An understanding of technology and how it can be applied to the farming sector will be key - Software experience, and in particular Farm Management Systems, would be ideal although exposure to other forms of technology could also be relevant!
