Horticulturist

  • Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) start-up with backing from a household name
  • Opportunity to grow into a key role in the early stage growth of an AgriTech business

KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Industry experience in a related role (such as Horticulturist, Agronomist, Plant Scientist)
  • Degree educated or equivalent in a relevant discipline such as Horticulture, Agronomy, Plant Science or similar.
  • Experience conducting and analysing crop trials.
  • The personality type to thrive in a start-up environment - sometimes unpredictable and lacking structure, but with ample career growth opportunities!
  • NICE TO HAVE: Experience in a relevant environment related to CEA, Hydroponics, Vertical or Indoor Farming... although candidates who don't have this but are interested in this world are encouraged to apply!

ROLE SUMMARY:

A CEA start-up who - with the help of backing from a household name in the food & beverages market - have invested into start of the art technology and facilities, is seeking a Horticulturist / Plant Scientist to develop into a key role as the company grows.

This role could be an ideal fit for somebody who's gained some industry experience in Horticultural or Agronomy trials, who is now looking for a role where they can undertake more responsibility and potentially grow into a more senior or lead role. This will need to be backed up by an educational background (degree or equivalent) in a relevant discipline such as Agronomy, Plant Science or Horticulture.

Any exposure to the world of CEA and Hydroponics would be a bonus but, failing that, we'd be interested in talking to anybody who has an interest in that domain and would be excited by the prospect of playing a key role in a well-backed early stage AgriTech and CEA start-up!
