KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- MSc or PhD in a relevant field (such as Mathematics, Statistics, or another Data / Numerical discipline).
- Proficiency in quantitative methods and coding, with experience in R programming.
- Experience could derive from working in a Data role in industry, equally candidates at graduate level are encouraged to apply who can demonstrate relevant work – working with Data and R – from an independent project.
- Nice to have; knowledge of farming and/or sustainability, or simply an interest in having an impact on this sector!

As Data Scientist, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering high-integrity monitoring, reporting, and verification processes. You will be expected to:
- Collect and manage field-level data from participating farmers with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Develop and run R scripts to model soil carbon stock changes and calculate farm emissions.
- Conduct thorough QA/QC checks on data and ensure compliance with international standards.
- Coordinate soil sampling activities with external partners.
- Prepare comprehensive Monitoring Reports for verification by independent bodies, ensuring all supporting documentation meets rigorous standards.
- Stay informed on the latest developments in carbon verification methodologies and standards
